Speakers

Julie Kennedy

Julie Kennedy has over 20 years digital experience working across a wide range of industries covering ecommerce, telecommunications, gaming, media and fintech. Successfully building and managing multi-discipline teams across multi-channels for top UK and Global brands at Amazon, Vodafone, Betfair, DMG Media and currently in Building Manufacturing and Distribution for Saint- Gobain. Julie is passionate about creating digital designs that are accessible to all and is a regular conference speaker in the UX and Tech industry and is an organiser for a London Women’s TEDx group.

During her talk, she will discuss how to create a balanced, powerful and effective team with a multitude of diverse skills. What is the right size and mixture of junior and senior practitioners? What skills, soft and hard, do you need to design and deliver outstanding products and services that support meaningful outcomes? Discover the answer to these questions and more, as Julie provides insights and tips on design leadership, and how to build, motivate, grow and keep your design teams happy.


Bill Tribble

Bill Tribble is a UX focused Product Manager with a background in education, media, music technology, and design. He’s currently Head of Product at Endlesss.fm, where he’s helping build a multiplayer collaborative platform for music. As a consultant he’s worked at 19 different companies in the past 5 years, and recently spent 18 months in Japan. Along the way he’s developed strong opinions about designing and building services and digital products.

He will be speaking about teamwork process, and strategies for designing calm, focused workflows. He will discuss his experiences with Agile, Lean Product Development, Remote, and 6-week cycles. How to create time for focused teams, building alignment with Design Sprint techniques, and shipping real products fast.


Hollie Lubbock

Hollie Lubbock is an Experience design director, she helps clients deliver products and services that excite audiences and answer business needs. Her passion projects explore computing ethics, how technology impacts society and trend analysis.

Whether you’ve been in a team for a while or one that has just formed; sometimes troubles can arise. Getting these troubles out into the open, discussed and solved quickly is good for team health and everyone’s happiness. However, these are not easy conversations to have. During her talk, she will walk you through a few techniques to tackle these issues in a positive safe space.


Paul Woodley

Paul Woodley is an award-winning Product Design Lead, working on projects with the likes of the Bank of England, Boston University and Thomas Cook. Currently at the LeanJS and React GraphQL Academy, he has crafted an ultra-Lean UX process and workshop series that creates working, validated digital products that satisfies users and businesses in just a matter of days. Aside from that, he is a frustrated BBC 6 Music DJ and loves to create badass Spotify playlists. 

In this talk, Paul will be covering how UX realistically fits in the wider production process and how Lean thinking has affected his approach. His talk will share techniques relating to research, ideation and prototyping that can achieve super-quick but still-meaningful results that encourages shared dialogue across developers, designers, marketers, stakeholders and others!


Zhivko Dimitrov

Zhivko Dimitrov is a UX designer with a passion for complexity. He has headed UX for BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, and a hedge fund in the city of London and currently oversees design at the gas & power trading arm of BP. He combines years of experience in managing design teams with enthusiasm for hand crafting complex experiences for highly specialised, professional users. He thrives on big data, low latency, and sophisticated decision making.

During his talk, Zhivko will share tips on how to grow as a creative to a leadership role and touch on the challenges of maintaining creativity in a managerial position.
