Chimmy Kalu is a product designer who works with companies that put people first, helping them create products that solve real problems. Having worked as a software engineer for half her career, Chimmy’s able to translate user needs, technical limitations and business goals into designs that are accessible, usable and delightful.

Over the last decade, Chimmy has worked to help heritage brands like British Airways, Vogue and GQ transform their offerings and deliver pioneering products and experiences for their customers. She now works with startups and entrepreneurs, helping them understand and connect with their user base. When she’s not designing products, Chimmy also speaks, writes and teaches about inclusive UX and UI design.

An introduction to prototyping using Adobe XD 

Have you heard about prototyping but don’t know what it is? Or you know what it is but haven’t yet had the chance to learn how to do it? This is a basic prototyping session. We will cover:

-Creating wireframes using XD – including using assets and repeat grids.

-Adding basic interactions and transitions – including anchor links and scroll groups.

-Testing the prototypes.

Levelling up your prototyping using Adobe XD You might have been prototyping with other tools or even Adobe XD but you’re interested in learning new aspects of prototyping. This session will cover:

-Voice prototyping

-Content aware layouts

-Animation using component states
