Sophie has spent her career solving complex challenges for a variety of enterprise software applications at larger organizations like IBM and JustGiving, and startups like EVRYTHNG and now Tyk. Having worked her way around the world running UX and design thinking workshops with IBM, she has since focussed on introducing these concepts and ways of thinking into smaller technical startups. Sophie is currently leading the UX capability within the product leadership team at Tyk, an API Management Platform.

 

Growing a UX team and introducing UX and design thinking into a remote global organisation

Working remotely is something a lot of us have been forced to do during 2020, but there are some organisations that have been remote or globally spread for long before that. Introducing UX into an organisation has it’s challenges, and some more unique challenges when that organisation is spread across 26 different countries globally. In this talk I’ll cover some tips and tricks I’ve learnt along the way when introducing UX and Design Thinking into a completely remote organisation, including, how to run engaging workshops, how to show the value of UX, how to enable teams with UX tools and more.
