What you need to understand about accessibility

About:

I help my team mates design and build inclusive user interfaces. I also lead work on Kooth’s design system, and bridge the gap between design and development. I used to work as a UX designer, user researcher and design strategy consultant. I prefer doing interaction design in code.

What you need to understand about accessibility

Most apps and websites unnecessarily exclude millions of people. An accessible user interface does not really take longer to design or build – if you know how to do it. The problem is lack of knowledge, not lack of time or money. In particular, there are many misconceptions about accessibility. This session will help you think very clearly about accessibility. I’ll also show you concretely how we’re making it happen at Kooth. This will help you bake accessibility into your own practice and your team.
