Handovers in cross-channel customer experience

Veiko himself has 18 years of experience in technology management, entrepreneurship, and product development. He is also an angel investor, mentoring start-ups and mature companies in the innovation process, founder of the non-profit organisation and few lifestyle businesses. Veiko’s professional passion is in service design and UX design. In his talk, he will use a retail client as an example to explain challenges in cross-channel services and what are the possible solutions from a digital products point of view.

The Brief (from Orange)

A revolution is on the way in the shape of enhanced messaging. Next generation messaging available to anybody with a supported handset. Bringing all the features of messaging apps like WhatsApp to the native messaging environment. Also called Rich Communication Service (RCS), the upgraded messaging service will provide richer interactions, with content and graphics and the opportunity to deploy conversational bots within the native environment.

Workshop description

This hackathon is on conversational design within a messaging environment. This Hackathon is open to all across product, design, dev etc. You will have the opportunity to prototype your ideas using the Oracle Platform with Oracle Intelligent Bots. You won’t need be technical to use the platform as you will be designing & creating prototypes.

We’re looking for teams with a range of skills, so whether you’re a designer, developer, a business or product manager, we want you!

A hackathon is an event where people come together to solve a problem through innovative solutions in a short period of time. HackUX will be focused on how we will design for VR environments and we should interact with these technologies in the future.

HackUX is a one day event, on Friday, April 6th at 9 AM until 5 PM. There will be drinks and nibbles after.

The hackathon will be at Amazon (LHR16), 115 Worship St, London EC2A 2BA.

The goal of the hackathon is to create innovative products and solutions, as well as gain knowledge about the issue and make valuable connections.

You and everyone else who signs up for HackUX can pitch ideas in the beginning of the event.

Prizes are TBD. They will be awarded for the winners in the following categories: – Solution most aligned to brief – Most original concept – Best use of tool

Bring a computer and whatever else you need to get work done, as well as your best ideas and a lot of energy!

A pack will be shared with participants closer to the date with more specific details about the challenge.

For this event, you sign up as an individual but then you can choose the team you join.

The Brief (from Orange)

A revolution in messaging is on the horizon that’s set to challenge giants like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. Rich Communication Service (RCS) brings all the features of these apps to any supported handset. The service will provide richer content with enhanced graphics, better interactions and the opportunity to include conversational bots within the native environment. RCS is set to pass over 1 billion users by the end of 2019 meaning now is the opportunity to capitalise on this revolutionary new platform.

Workshop description

This UX Hackathon will explore the opportunities afforded to organisations, whether businesses or non-profit, through the use of intelligent agents in messaging environments, or ‘chatbots’. This includes designing conversational interactions for a relevant and fulfilling user experience. You will have the opportunity to prototype your ideas using the Oracle Platform with Oracle Intelligent Bots. You won’t need any technical skills (coding) to get the most from this UX hackathon, but developers are also welcome to participate

We’re looking for teams with a range of skills, so whether you’re a designer, developer, a business or product manager, we want you!
