Ed Moffat
UX Design For Player Input in VR Games
In a typical VR setup, the controllers a player holds are unique in that they’re equally important in the real and virtual worlds.  I’d like to share some interesting lessons about controller UX design that I’ve learnt by making VR games and testing them out with new and seasoned players!

VR, what is it good for?
VR is an unrivalled in its ability to build empathy, it transports us to new worlds and opens us up to experiencing life from another persons perspective. It can create safe spaces in which we can be fully ourselves as well as have interactions not possible in the real world.
VR has been on the brink of mainstream adoption for many years, finally costs are down and frameworks are easily accessible. Is it finally coming of age? If this is true, how will we use this technology to its full potential. We will explore when, how and why to use VR through examples and case studies.

PLEASE NOTE: Ticket sales will end at 10:00 am on the 11 September. Please make sure you secure your tickets before this time in order to attend.
