Wearable UX – Trials & Tribulations

With Dimitris Kontaris & Lola Oyelayo

25th August 2015

Dimitris Kontaris. Interaction Designer at Thomson Reuters

Starting as a Mathematician, I experienced the relationship between the beauty in numbers and nature, and how they harmoniously coexist. Its potential in technology drove me to become a UX professional.
I have worked in startup, consultancy, and in house environments, and as a result have been lucky enough to have designed for the experience of various platforms, systems, and screen sizes.

What Dimitris will be discussing:
The presentation will be about the great misconceptions of designing for the Apple Watch from both a user and a UX Designer perspective.

Lola Oyelayo – Director of Strategy & UX at Head

A passionate designer and researcher and with over 10 years experience in the field, Lola is extremely vocal and knowledgeable about creating a sustainable future for user-centred thinking and design, a journey which has seen her become Scrum Certified and an official member of the “Agile is best” club.

What Lola will be discussing:
Lola will talk about: Why you won’t be working on a wearable or IoT project for a while. I will share our experiences and the patterns we have seen, along with some key considerations for us on how to more effectively package these projects if we really want to do them.
